“This Community Tennis Programme links the School with Midlands LTA, Tennis for Free, Lichfield Tennis Club and numbers of primary schools in the region. We are indebted to The Time Henman Foundation for this opportunity – Tennis Share will mirror our highly successful Music Share scheme.”

The Lichfield Tennis Network Programme is offering tennis opportunities to students, teachers, and parents thanks to The Tim Henman Foundation. and to the efforts of Lichfield Cathedral School.
The following schools are currently participating Chadsmead, St Michaels, Christchurch, Fulfen, Charnwood, Chase Terrace, Shenstone Lodge, Holy Grove .
In the first six-week programme
- 208 students were given a tennis opportunity.
- 51 of those students were really deserving and had special needs.
- 9 teachers have been trained creating a sustainable tennis teaching resource in the schools
Only four schools out of the planned 10 schools have thus far benefitted.
Thanks to the LTA who support Tim’s foundation the participating schools have all been given tennis starter kits.
