Finding Your Spark -Tim Visits GLF Schools

7 June 2021

An event on Wednesday June 9th at Chestnut Park Primary School will celebrate the Tim Henman Foundation’s latest campaign – the #FindingYourSpark initiative – which is designed to help some of the country’s most vulnerable young people pursue their passions in disciplines like tennis. Events like today’s are all about spreading special experiences like accessing one-to-one coaching and giving more children the chance to find their spark.

Donations to #FindingYourSpark are doubled between the 8th and the 15th of June thanks to the Champions for Children campaign.  The Tim Henman Foundation wants to raise more money in order to help support not just children’s physical, but also mental wellbeing.  They hope to run a series of community tennis and table tennis programmes in some of the most deprived London boroughs and to also undertake some wellbeing initiatives

Tim Henman said“I am delighted to be at Chestnut Park School today and see more young tennis stars coming through the pipeline. Talent is spread evenly across the country but sadly opportunity is not, which is why this Foundation initiative in association with GLF Schools and the LTA is so important.”
