Christmas Appeal
We are raising funds this Christmas to help transform the lives of disadvantaged young people
- This Christmas there are 4.3 million children growing up in poverty in the UK.
- That's an increase of 100,000 from 2021-22 and 9 in a classroom of 30 (30% of all children)
- For household where there are children with disabilities, there are additional costs of £975 a month to have the same standard of living as non-disabled households.
- This rises to £1,122 per month when adjusted for inflation, representing 63% of household income after housing costs.
Campaign target and outcomes
- We aim to raise £30,000 during the Christmas Appeal.
- Which will allow us to deliver 5 new programmes.
- Reaching 670 disadvantaged young people.
Campaign specific outcomes:
- Increase activity in deprived areas.
- Create more inclusive activity for those with additional needs.
- More support for aspiring athletes
- Improvement in academic attainment.
- Increase the amount of young people in training and education, as a pathway to employability.

- For £61 you can support a disadvantaged child for a whole year through a THF programme
